Fulfilling the Promise of Potential

Posted: October 14, 2020

The service and charity that GeNEUROsity seeks to provide is one of momentum. While we discussed in a previous blog post how everyone deserves a hand, we want to express that our goal is to drive opportunity. The partners and individuals we work with do not view our help as an entitlement, but rather as an empowerment.

We want our partners to feel driven, excited, and enterprising with the support we provide—so that they can go on to provide further support to their communities.

Human potential is untapped when people cannot meet their most basic needs, and the same is true for organizations. All of that potential is wasted if we are all not able to lean on support systems and then act on ambitions.

As an example, we work closely with the Ouallo Kouya (OK) Foundation, which was co-founded by his son, Francois Kouya and was formed with the purpose of providing access to education and promoting a culture of self-reliance in the villages of the Ivory Coast.

Over the next 10 years, the foundation seeks to fund and build schools, medical clinics, water wells, cafeterias, and more to help this population rise out of poverty and reach their potential for building a better world for their families and communities.

This is an incredibly ambitious goal. The OK Foundation is working toward it by launching philanthropic business, funded by social investors (donors), to create a self-sustaining model for giving back to these communities in the Ivory Coast.

We are one of those investors helping them to create a system that builds on itself by empowering others. This puts them in a position where they can accomplish their dreams and establish their own security throughout their own successes.

It’s all about helping. Abundance does not come from a single fountain—that’s precisely what scarcity is. We do not want to be the one fountain that everyone gets help from. We want to be the impetus–or even a small part–behind dozens if not hundreds of fountains that go on to provide a brighter future for the communities they serve.

Unlock that potential in people, in teams, and in worldwide movements, and you begin to see how this domino effect could lead to a more peaceful and stable world.

Resolve a lack of affordable housing like we’re working to do through the Fuller Center? You put people’s minds at ease regarding the basic worry of where they’re going to live.

Help establish infrastructure for delivering clean drinking water, education, and healthcare as the Ouallo Kouya Foundation is working hard to do? You provide access to healthcare that allows people to work toward better goals with the security of knowing those needs are already met.

Fund and promote extracurricular scholastic programs through organizations like the NAACP ACTSO? You prepare ambitious minorities to achieve and enrich their lives with inspiration and impassioned learning—empowering them to gain the skills they will then use to impact others for good now and for years to come.

None of these points of service and charity end with a check. Plenty of organizations do their good work that way. GeNEUROsity wants to create a thriving environment for the dreamers of the world—a proper jumping-off point to do great things.

Our mission is to help you make a positive impact with your unique skills, talents, and passions.

We are only one part of this equation. Our work requires other driven individuals and organizations who will not only accept the generosity, but those who will also pay it forward–use it to create a real impact on a world that needs it.

The opportunities are out there and all we need to do is identify your strengths, passions, the way ahead, and help find a way to get you what you need to achieve it.

If you feel you may be a good fit with GeNEUROsity, we would love to talk about a potential partnership. We encourage you to explore our website and reach out to us to discuss your needs and ambitions.
