GeNEUROsity to Receive ACTSO Sponsor Award

Posted: October 1, 2020

Our contributions to individuals and non-profit organizations are made in the hopes that the help will continue to drive their charitable ambitions and create real world change for their communities. We want our contributions in the hands of people who can put it to good use. That thought may scare non-profits that want more control over where their money goes, but we believe in the momentum that driven causes can create.

This year has been a rollercoaster of cancellations and precautions due to the ongoing pandemic. Many ACTSO units across the country cancelled their local 2020 programs. But with the help of GeNEUROsity’s contribution, the local ACTSO in the Greater Harrisburg Area pressed forward to conduct their first ever Virtual Local ACTSO Competition.

The event produced 2 bronze, 4 silver, and 9 gold medals to students. Several winners of the competition across a variety of fields such as photography, medicine and health, and painting received a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 laptop thanks to the charitable sponsorship provided by GeNEUROsity.

In recognition of this contribution, the Greater Harrisburg Area NAACP ACTSO Program and its chair, Kaaba Brunson, will award GeNEUROsity with a Special Sponsor Award during their 66th Greater Harrisburg Area NAACP Freedom Fund dinner on October 10, 2020.

Karthik responded:

“Thank you so much for this wonderful update. I can only imagine the challenge of conducting competitions and ceremonies this year given our current reality. We are thrilled to see that the medalists received Microsoft Surface Pro 7s! I expect that they will put them to good use and expand their minds and creativity!”

Karthik Seshan, Neuro Alert, and GeNEUROsity understand that today’s contributions sow the seeds that will flourish into a bright future for these children who, with the help of their new computers, now have greater access to the internet and the expansive learning potential, as a result. It is imperative, especially in this time of social distancing, to have that access and those tools.

Armed by GeNEUROsity and Neuro Alert in their academic pursuits, we are proud of their achievements and look forward to their future success.

GeNEUROsity is honored by the recognition by the Greater Harrisburg chapter and excited to continue its work with the NAACP ACTSO Program in collaboration with Kaaba Brunson. We also graciously thank Samuel Johnson of Neuro Alert for making this important introduction as well as providing support and guidance toward these extra-scholastic causes.

The foundation will continue to promote learning and build the future with other contributions like this. The helpers need help sometimes, and we’re happy to provide the kind of assistance that leads to real greatness.

If you’re an individual or non-profit organization that feels they could do far more with the right push, you may be a match for GeNEUROsity’s assistance. We invite you to read more on our website or click here to collaborate with us.
